Both lanes of westbound Interstate 84 are now open after five vehicles crashed Thursday afternoon.

The accident involved four vehicles and a semi truck. It happened near the Stage Stop, exit 71.

Idaho State Police say two people have been taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers on scene say the series of crashes happened as traffic was slowing for a lane reduction in place for an Idaho Transportation Department construction project.
