Dozens of passengers on a Megabus had to be evacuated Thursday morning after the bus’ tire caught fire. The bus was traveling from Cincinnati to Chicago and was on westbound I-74 near Dry Fork Road when it happened. Passengers say the first sign of trouble was the sound of an explosion. The tire blew and was so hot it burst into flames, according to fire investigators. About 40 passengers were on the bus and all of them were able to get off safely. They were taken to the Harrison Township Civic Center to wait for a replacement bus.
