According to Arkansas State trooper Aaron Morphis, Christina Lancaster, 29, of Paragould, was driving a maroon Chevy Trailblazer south on Highway 49 when the incident occurred. She crossed the center line then hit an oncoming black Dodge Caravan driven by 66 year-old Joseph Mangrum. Lancaster and two other youths in her vehicle were injured, one of which was airlifted to the LeBonheur Hospital in Memphis. Mangrum was killed in the crash. A Jonesboro woman was killed Monday after her vehicle collided with another vehicle on U.S. 49 in Greene County, according to an Arkansas State Police report.

Andrea Denise Jefferson, 30, was driving north on the highway about 9:15 a.m. when her 2006 Chevrolet "crossed into the path" of a southbound 2012 Chevrolet. The report did not specify where on the highway the collision occurred.

Jefferson died from unspecified injuries. The other driver was unhurt.

Conditions at the time were described as clear and dry.
