Part of the Schuylkill Expressway is reportedly closed due to a jackknifed tractor trailer.

I-76 East is reportedly shut down between City Avenue and the Roosevelt Boulevard.

It’s unclear whether or not anyone was injured in the accident.

PennDOT is on the scene. They are asking everyone who can to stay off the roads for the duration of the storm.

A school bus carrying children and two other vehicles collided this morning in Northeast Philadelphia. The yellow bus, white van and red SUV were involved in the chain-reaction wreck at Rhawn and Eastwood Streets around 9:45 a.m. At least nine injuries were reported including children on the bus. Philadelphia Police accident investigators desribced the injuries as mostly bumps and bruises. As SkyForce10 hovered overhead a short time later it appeared that the bus, operated by Philly-based Leahy Transportation, hit the back of the van, which hit the back of the SUV.

A multi-vehicle crash snarled traffic on the Schuylkill Expressway early Tuesday morning.

The accident happened shortly after 7 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of the Expressway near the Montgomery Drive exit.

A helicopter over the scene where it showed a tractor trailer and two SUV’s involved in the crash.

There were no immediate reports of any injuries.

As a result of the crash, traffic delays reached approximately 90 minutes, reaching all the way back to Conshohocken.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation

Crews are at the scene of a fatal accident on the City Avenue Bridge.

A car flipped over on the bridge near the Ridge Avenue exit on Sunday around 10:15 a.m. At least one person was killed in the crash.

The ramp to Lincoln Drive is partially blocked due to the accident.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike was the scene of a multi-vehicle accident involving a passenger car and a tractor-trailer has blocked the right lane at mile post 345.2E. According to state police, a tractor trailer fell down an embankment around mile marker 345.2 in the eastbound direction. The right lane is currently blocked by the car. State Police say the tractor-trailer is leaking diesel fuel because the tank was fractured in the accident, but it will not be a major hazmat issue and they are currently working to stop the leak.

A car sideswiped a police car in Center City this morning sending one person to the hospital. According to Philadelphia Police, a Nissan Altima crashed into the parked police cruiser at 17th and Ludlow Street -- Ludlow is between Market and Chestnut Streets around 8:15 a.m. One person was taken to Hahnemann Hospital for treatment, according to dispatchers. It wasn’t clear if the injured person was a civilian or a police officer.

A suspected DUI hit-and-run crash left an off-duty police officer hurt overnight and at least three people in custody.

A car full of four men heading down Haverford blew through a red light at the corner of 57th Street in West Philadelphia and collided with a car driven by an off-duty officer around 2 a.m., according to Philadelphia Police.

The officer suffered injuries to his leg and back and is expected to be OK, according to police.

Interstate 95 has reopened after being shut down for several hours after a tractor-trailer crash near the airport early Friday morning.

The accident happened at about 3:00 a.m. Friday in the southbound lanes at Island Avenue near the Philadelphia International Airport.
A tractor trailer lost control and tipped over on its side.

As a result of the crash, police closed I-95 at Broad Street to motorists.

It was not immediately known if there were any injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

A deadly crash where a car flipped multiple times closed a major roadway for more than five hours this morning.

The single-car wreck closed the Blue Route (I-476) southbound around Exit 13 around 2:10 a.m.

The driver, Edward Harre, was thrown from the vehicle after it struck a median resulting in it flipping over multiple times before coming to a rest on its roof, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Medics declared Harre dead at the scene, according to police.

Investigators say a driver is charged with alleged DUI following a three-vehicle chain reaction crash early Friday morning. It happened shortly after 12 a.m. at the unit block of East Sharpnack Street in Mount Airy. According to police, the suspect tried to blend in with a crowd that had formed around the accident. He suffered minor injuries. A 75-year-old man was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center. His condition is unknown at this time. Another man suffered a broken arm. The accident remains under investigation.
