32 year-old man, in critical condition, Merino Carlo Lusterino 44, injured and arrested on multiple charges, after driving his SUV at high speed leads to crash in Maricopa County.

A 44-year-old man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a serious-injury crash in northwest Phoenix, police said.

Police say Merino Carlo Lusterino was behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Suburban that ran a red light at 51st Avenue and Bell Road and struck a Toyota Corolla with the right of way just before 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Sgt. James Holmes, a Phoenix police spokesman said that, moments before the collision, a motorcycle rider called to report that a Subarban had nearly run him off the road near Bell Road and Interstate 17.
