San Diego, CAMichael Alcarion, 28, was traveling west when his motorcycle hit the back of a Nissan near Euclid Avenue shortly after 7:00am. Alcarion fell onto the roadway and was run over by a semi-truck. He was then transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital for treatment of major trauma.

San Diego, CAPolice say four people were injured late Tuesday night following a hit-and-run crash in the Bankers Hill area of San Diego.
The wreck occurred at 10:30 p.m. at the corner of 5th Avenue and Laurel Street, a San Diego Police Department official said.
Witnesses stated that a white Jaguar slammed into two vehicles waiting at a stop light at 5th Avenue then sped off westbound on Laurel Street, leaving a trail of radiator fluid behind.
Some of the witnesses followed the suspect vehicle and called police, until the Jaguar came to a sputtering halt on the 2400 block of Brant Street.

San Diego, CAA woman and her small daughter died Tuesday when their SUV smashed into the back of a grocery store delivery truck on north Interstate 5 south of the Orange County line.
Many drivers who witnessed the crash or saw the wreckage right after were distraught, one woman posted on Twitter.
Northbound traffic was halted for nearly an hour. Even after two lanes opened, the backup worsened and extended as far south as Oceanside Boulevard.
