A woman was injured when she was involved in a collision with a taxi in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood Thursday morning.

The collision occurred shortly after 10 a.m. in a northbound lane on Sixth Street between Mission and Market streets.

The taxi driver, whose name was not immediately available, said the woman had walked into the side of his Yellow Cab as he was driving.

Witnesses at the scene said it appeared that the woman had walked toward the cab intentionally.

A driver, suspected off being under the influence, lost control of their vehicle crashed in front the Cliff House in San Francisco Thursday morning. The roads were slick with rain but police said it was probably the suspected drinking of the driver that caused a single-vehicle collision. The driver of an Silver BMW SUV drove down Point Lobos Avenue but failed to negotiate the turn at the Cliff House plowing over a sign post, smashing though a parked pickup truck and demolishing a concrete planter before finally coming to rest in front of the building.

A pedestrian later identified as Isaak Berenzon 78, was struck and killed by a car in San Francisco's Sunset District this morning, a fire official said.

The incident was reported at 10:58 a.m. near Sunset Boulevard and Ulloa Street.

One pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, a fire official said.

Four others were injured in the collision. Only one of those victims was transported to a hospital, a fire official said.

The others suffered minor injuries.

The driver who struck and seriously injured a pedestrian near San Francisco City Hall this morning fled the scene of the crash and remains at large, police said. Emergency personnel responded to the crash at Van Ness Avenue and Grove Street just before 2:30 a.m. and found the pedestrian, a man in his 50s, suffering from life-threatening injuries, a San Francisco police Sgt. said. The man was taken to San Francisco General Hospital in critical condition.

A 73-year-old man was critically injured when he was hit by a car after getting off of a San Francisco Municipal Railway bus in the city’s Bayview District on Saturday evening, police said Monday.

The collision was reported at about 6:40 p.m. Saturday on Hudson Avenue near Reuel Court, a police spokesman said.

The car that struck the victim was a Dodge caravan driven by a 33-year-old woman, police said.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with broken legs and a head wound—injuries that are considered life-threatening, according to police.

Three workers were hurt Friday, with two suffering life-threatening injuries, when they plunged from makeshift scaffolding at a construction project near San Francisco's Twin Peaks that city officials said lacked permits and violated a number of safety codes. The building's owner has a history of flouting permit procedures and employing unsafe practices, according to the city's Department of Building Inspection.

A bicyclist was injured when he was struck by an AC Transit bus in San Francisco's Rincon Hill neighborhood Wednesday, police said.

The bicyclist was riding on Beale Street at about 9:20 a.m. when he turned right onto Folsom Street and was struck by the westbound bus, said police spokesman Sgt. Eric O'Neal.

Officers reported that the bicyclist was conscious and breathing, with slight bleeding from his face, O'Neal said. He was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The bus driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.

A man was critically injured when a vehicle struck him in San Francisco’s Oceanview neighborhood on Monday night, a police spokesman said Tuesday.

The collision was reported at 9:12 p.m. at Alemany Boulevard and Brotherhood Way.

The 47-year-old victim and his brother were walking south in a crosswalk when a driver traveling west on Brotherhood Way struck him, police spokesman Sgt. Eric O’Neal said.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for a life-threatening head injury, O’Neal said.

A bicyclist was hospitalized after being hit by a tow truck in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood Wednesday evening.

The collision happened at about 5 p.m. at Seventh and Folsom streets.

The female bicyclist was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, a police officer at the scene said.

He said he did not have information on the bicyclist's condition.

Police blocked off Seventh Street between Folsom and Harrison streets and Folsom Street between Eighth and Sixth streets.

A pedestrian was struck and killed while crossing Van Ness Avenue Tuesday night. There are seven lanes of traffic and police say a man was struck outside the crosswalk on Van Ness, near Grove Street, by a driver who had no time to react. It happened just before 7 p.m.

San Francisco police, with the collision investigation unit, stated that the victim was a 38-year-old man. Witnesses told investigators the victim had been in some sort of verbal altercation with another man earlier, but police told us they do not believe that played a role in the victim's death.
