Divina Delacruz Valdez was riding in a car with two other people at Piedmont Road and Rockport Avenue. The car was struck in traffic when it was rear-ended by another vehicle. Valdez was seriously injured and taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The two other people in the car sustained minor injuries. The driver of the other car stayed at the scene after the crash. The accident istill under investigation.
