San Jose: Motorcyclist killed, hit-and-run pickup driver sought by police

SAN JOSE -- A motorcyclist was killed after he was rear-ended by a pickup truck whose driver fled the scene near the Santa Clara County fairgrounds Tuesday night, according to San Jose police. The motorcyclist, described as an adult male, was taken to the hospital, where he died early Wednesday. The collision marked the city's 53rd traffic fatality of the year, and fifth in just over a week. After the collision, the truck took off in an unknown direction. The victim was riding westbound on Tully Road near Seventh Street around 9:30 p.m. when he was hit from behind by a white Ford F-250, police spokesman Sgt.
