New York, NYAuthorities have released the names of those involved in a fatal two-car crash in Livingston County.
It happened around 6 a.m. Thursday on Route 256 in Sparta.
The Sheriff's Office says a southbound car driven by John Linehan of Livonia was passing a southbound dump truck hauling a backhoe and crashed into an oncoming car.
The crash killed the other driver, Theodore Markel of Dansville. The crash injured Linehan and two of Markel's passengers -- Matthew Markel and Joe Greene, both of Dansville.

New York, NYThe Livingston County Sheriff's Office is investigating a deadly accident in the Town of Sparta. It happened just before 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
The Sheriff stated that a 12-year-old boy was killed after he was struck by a car on Route 63, south of Parker Hill Road.
"He was outside doing what he should be doing on a nice spring day playing ball in the side yard and from what witnesses are telling us, his ball rolled out in the roadway and he went to cross and was struck by the vehicle," said the Sheriff
