Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLA Tampa motorcyclist died Monday night when he collided with a tractor-trailer making a u-turn on U.S. 41 in southeast Tampa. Andrew Wayne Schlimme was traveling north on U.S. 41 around 6 p.m. when the truck turned in front of him at Hartford Street. Schlimme swerved to avoid the truck, but struck the right rear corner of the semi, throwning him off the motorcycle and across all lanes of traffic where he hit a southbound Ford. Schlimme died at the scene of the crash. Charges are pending against the semi truck driver.

Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLJames Warfle was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 10:30 pm. The driver who struck Warfle on US 41 in Tampa, Robert Barnhardt, did not see the pedestrian until it was too late. Barnhardt immediately stopped to call for help. The investigation continues and charges against the driver are pending.
