It was about 12:30 a.m. when a northbound semi-truck on U.S. 131 collided with a woman standing in the intersection with Heimbach Road. She was declared deceased at the scene of the crash. Police are still investigating the identity of the woman and why she was standing in the roadway; check back for updates.

According to witnesses in Three Rivers, on Tuesday morning two vehicles were stopped in the roadway waiting for the front vehicle to turn left off of South Main Street, when a third vehicle rear-ended them after making no attempts to slow down. The driver of the first vehicle that was turning left was not injured. A woman and her 12-year-old son were in the second vehicle, and both of them were take to Three Rivers Health with minor injuries. The third vehicle that rear-ended the others was driven by a man and his 7-year-old son.

Sejfudin Pargan was driving his semi-truck southbound on US-131 shortly before 11:00 PM near Three Rivers, Michigan when a car drove in front of him traveling eastbound on M-60, resulting in the accident. The occupants of the car Sean Thompson, 19, Crystal Klinger, 19, and Mark Thompson, 56, were injured and taken to the hospital for minor injuries. A woman has been hospitalized after she was hit by a car while crossing the street. The elderly woman was hit around 7:40 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Millard Street and S. Douglas Avenue in Three Rivers. The woman was taken by ambulance to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo with unknown injuries.

A woman was ticketed after police said she caused a two-vehicle wreck in St. Joseph County. Kennedy Banks, 26, was in his vehicle and stopped on eastbound M-60 near Haines Road outside Three Rivers, waiting for traffic to clear so he could turn left into his driveway. Jessie Hanstine was also traveling east when her vehicle rear-ended Banks’ vehicle around 2:26 p.m. Tuesday, police said. Both drivers from Three Rivers wore their seat belts, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a hospital. Hanstine, 20, was cited for failing to stop at an assured, clear distance.

A 13-year-old is dead after being involved in a crash with a semi-truck in St. Joseph County Friday night. The crash happened on U-S 131 and Broadway Road. According to officials, the driver of the semi-truck was not hurt, but the driver of the car, a 43-year-old woman from Three Rivers was airlifted to a hospital for her injuries.
