A veteran Berkeley firefighter-paramedic died when he crashed while riding a tractor off-duty near Martinez, authorities said Monday. Anthony "Tony" Nunes, 54, of Martinez was riding a tractor on family property near Bear Creek Road and Alhambra Valley Road when the vehicle went over an embankment off a fire trail, rolled 200 feet and pinned him, said Capt. Robert Marshall of the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District. Nunes died at the scene.

Three people are recovering after being involved in a rollover crash Sunday morning. It happened just after 1 a.m. on 14 Mile Road at Lincoln Lake Road in Oakfield Township. According to a news release, 21-year-old Connor Steven Thomsen from Greenville lost control and rolled the vehicle. Thomsen suffered minor injuries. Trevor James Vanderburg, 21, and Chase Lee White, 24, were passengers in the vehicle and were taken to hospitals with serious injuries. Officials on scene stated that one of the passengers was thrown from the car. Officials believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.

A man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of intoxicants after a single-vehicle crash on state Highway 14 Saturday night. Charles Graves, 54, whose residence is unknown, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu west on the highway when his vehicle crashed and rolled just west of Lieser Road. When the Malibu came to rest, it was partially blocking one of the lanes and responding personnel blocked both westbound lanes of the highway for a brief period of time, Finn said.

A motorist was injured Saturday night in a single-vehicle rollover accident on state Highway 14 in Vancouver. The crash occurred about 9:30 p.m. in the freeway's westbound lanes west of Lieser Road. The freeway was shut down as rescuers and investigators worked at the scene, according to emergency radio traffic. The vehicle had one occupant, who was transported by ambulance to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver.

Investigators believe a fatal car accident discovered in the 25800 block of East River Road near Otis Orchards at 4 p.m. today actually occurred around 7 p.m. Wednesday. A 911 caller reported seeing a car about 150 feet down an embankment on the north side of the Spokane River and what appeared to be a body near the car. It appears that the driver was heading east when the car went down the embankment and rolled multiple times. The woman, later identified as Jordyn Bouquet, 23, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected.

Four teens are lucky to be alive after a bad rollover crash on West End Avenue overnight. Police say they were driving down 17th Avenue South near Vanderbilt University when they lost control. The car hit an embankment and flipped. The vehicle was destroyed in the crash, but no one is said to have been hurt.

A 22-year-old Uncasville man was killed in a crash on on Route 354 in Colchester and he road will be closed until noon as police investigate. Police have identified the man as Charles Malloy, of Gay Hill Road in Uncasville. He lost control of a Chevy Silverado around 2:30 a.m., went off the road and hit a Connecticut Light & Power pole, severing it in half, police said. Malloy's car rolled over and landed on the hood. Power lines are running across Route 354, or Parum Road, and it is closed near Macklyn Drive.

A rollover accident has cleared and all inbound lanes of the Southwest Freeway at Weslayan have reopened. The accident was reported around 2:10 p.m. Monday. Emergency crews had blocked three left lanes, but all lanes reopened at 2:45 p.m.

A two-car rollover in Westport this morning sent two people to the hospital. The Westport fire department responded to I-95 North in the area of Exits 17 and 18 around 5:30 a.m. There they discovered a Ford Sedan on its roof and a Chevrolet pick up truck laying on its passenger side. All of the occupants of the vehicles were able to walk away from the accident on their own. Two of them were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Three people were injured in a four vehicle crash in Delray Beach Tuesday, according to Delray Beach Fire Rescue. Two of the vehicles rolled over as a result of the crash which happened around 11:15 a.m. on West Linton Boulevard. Investigators are not sure what caused the collision. They say three people in the vehicles that rolled over were hospitalized in stable condition. No one was seriously hurt in the other two vehicles.
