Gary Gilmore, 27, of Tupelo, is identified as the pedestrian who died Friday night on North Gloster Street during a two-car collision. Gilmore was pronounced deceased at the crash site from multiple trauma. The drivers of the vehicles are hospitalized at the North Mississippi Medical Center.  James Anthony Holder was driving a Jeep Cherokee. He is in a medically induced coma and listed in very serious condition. Nicholas Courtney was driving a Ford F150 pickup. He is listed in serious condition.

On Wednesday afternoon, a Chevrolet Corvette driven by Hal Veal Jr. of Tupelo crossed the center line of Cliff Gookin Boulevard, a five-lane road, around 5 p.m., colliding with a Chevrolet Camaro about a quarter-mile east of the intersection with South Thomas Street. Veal was not wearing a seat belt and was killed. The Camaro driver, an as-yet unidentified woman, was transported to the North Mississippi Medical Center in unknown condition.
