Police received reports of a car accident on the northwest side of Columbus, Ohio after 4:00 AM this morning. They arrived at the scene and found that the driver was driving east in the westbound lanes of Interstate 270 when he lost control and crashed. The car left the freeway and landed beneath the overpass onto Smoky Row Road. Medics sent the driver to Riverside Methodist Hospital in stable condition. The accident is still under investigation, however alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. We will have more information on this accident as it becomes available.

Franklin County law enforcement officers are investigating a fatal collision between a pedestrian and vehicle along Interstate 270 in southwest Columbus at about 2:20 a.m. Friday. Franklin County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to I-270 southbound near the West Broad Street exit on a report of a pedestrian struck. The victim, identified as 19-year-old Jose David, was pronounced deceased at the crash scene shortly after deputies arrived. It is not yet known the details of the incident.

Police said one person died after an accident in Kirkwood Saturday evening.

Authorities said the driver, Vladimir Paradovskiy, 67, was driving on Interstate 270 when he veered off the right side of the highway and struck the guardrail. Police said he then over-corrected and hit the concrete median.

He was taken to an area hospital but later died.
