65-year-old James Fox of Wauwatosa died in a Wednesday afternoon collision at a railroad crossing. The cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries and the death was ruled an accident. The Canadian Pacific Railway train was traveling at 35 mph when it hit Fox. The conductor saw him on the tracks and activated whistles while also fully applying the brakes, but the train was unable to stop in time.

A crash occured on northbound Highway 45 near W. Wisconsin Avenue, causing a three mile backup. The accident occured on Wednesday afternoon, October 22, in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and was cleared just before 1:00 p.m.

More than 30 vehicles piled up on an icy highway in Milwaukee County.

Two trucks, two buses and other vehicles were involved in the crash on Highway 45 in Wauwatosa about 10:30 p.m. Monday.

The sheriff's department says only one person was injured.

A return to freezing temperatures made the roads slick and had sheriff's deputies responding to 43 crashes in Milwaukee County between 10 p.m. Monday and 2 a.m. Tuesday.
