A Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputy responding to a crash on I-94 was injured when a driver behind him lost control around 10:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the sheriff's department.
The deputy, with 16 years on the force, was treated at a hospital for back and neck pain, according to a news release, which does not name the deputy or the hospital.
Authorities say a motorist has died on a Detroit freeway after the person's car struck a median wall and overturned. Michigan State Police troopers say the driver — who hasn't been identified — lost control of the vehicle early Saturday morning on I-94. The motorist died at the scene. State police Lt. Investigators in Dearborn are working to identify a man who was killed when his car was struck early this morning on I-94. The man was headed east near Greenfield Road when his 1996 Plymouth was struck about 3:05 a.m. by a Chrysler Town & Country minivan, according to Dearborn Police. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The female driver of the minivan fled but was caught a short time later by police. She and her male passenger were taken to an unnamed hospital with minor injuries. The woman’s identity was not released.
