She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected during the rollover. Kern was also not wearing a seat belt but not ejected.

Sara Clow died Saturday night after her pickup truck veered off Interstate 15 several miles south of Willard and rolled into the opposite lanes.  Clow, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the pickup and wound up in the one of the southbound lanes. "On scene investigators feel the driver may have survived had she been wearing her seat belt," the UHP release reads. "UHP reminds all drivers that, when used correctly, seat belts reduce the risk of injury and death by about 70 [percent]. Please, buckle up and arrive alive."
