Boston, MAKevin Regan, 62, and Lynda M. Cavanaugh, 62, both from Westfield, were pedestrians involved in a collision with a drunk driver Saturday night on Route 28. Regan was taken to Cape Cod Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Cavanaugh suffered serious injuries and was flown to a Boston hospital. Her injuries appear to be non-life-threatening. The driver of the 2009 Ford Econovan E150 is identified as Paul G. Dennehy, 55, of South Yarmouth. He is being charged with motor vehicle homicide while operating under the influence of liquor and operating under the influence with serious injury.

Boston, MARobert Froleiks was driving on Station Avenue when he veered into the northbound lane and collided with two other vehicles. The two other drivers suffered non-life threatening injuries. Froleiks was found to be in cardiac arrest at the scene, and it is possible that this was a factor in the accident. Froleiks was pronounced dead at a Cape Cod Hospital.

Boston, MAA female pedestrian was struck and killed late Saturday afternoon on Route 6, the Massachusetts State Police reported.
The collision occurred near Exit 8 and the highway was closed between Exit 8 and Exit 7 while public safety officials worked at the scene.
Route 6 westbound was re-opened at about 8 p.m., the state police reported in a prepared statement. The victim’s name and other information linked to the incident will not be available for the public until the crash victim has been identified and next of kin have been notified, the state police said.
