Kittitas County Sheriff's Office

Kittitas County request for public records
Many records are available on the Kittitas County website. Requesters are encouraged to view any documents available on the website before submitting a records request. Persons wishing to inspect or obtain copies of public records of any County agency shall make the request in writing using the County's standard request form and deliver it by U.S. mail, fax, email, or in person. The requester can also fill one out at the applicable County agency. The request should be addressed to the public records officer of the applicable County agency.
Kittitas County Corrections Center
The Kittitas County Corrections Center is a division of the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office. It is located in the Public Safety Building in Ellensburg. The Kittitas County Corrections Center (KCCC) was built in the 1980's to house about 45 inmates. In 2012 the Annex was completed which significantly increased bed space and brought the total capacity to 229. It currently houses about 110 inmates.
Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney's Office
The Prosecutor's Office has major responsibilities as a legal adviser, a prosecutor of criminal matters, a representative of the county in civil cases, and as ex-officio coroner.
Kittitas County Superior Court
In Washington the Superior Court is the court of general jurisdiction, meaning that the court adjudicates almost all types of controversies including adult felony crimes, civil disputes, dissolutions and family law matters, juvenile offenders, matters involving children, real property disputes, and domestic violence issues.
Lower Kittitas County District Court
The Lower Kittitas County District Court, located in Ellensburg, Washington, is one of two district courts in Kittitas County.
Upper Kittitas County District Court
The Upper District Court, located in Cle Elum, Washington, is one of two District Courts in Kittitas County.
Kittitas County Public Works Department
Kittitas County Public Works has responsibility for the engineering, construction, maintenance and administration of the Kittitas County Road System. This includes all County Roads but none of the State Routes or the Incorporated City Streets.

Klickitat County Public Records Requests
Klickitat County government is organized into separate departments and offices of independently elected officials and department heads. Each department and office is a "local agency" responsible for its own records under the definition found in RCW 42.176.220(1). There is no central office with access and responsibility to maintain and control all records. You can make any request you have for public records by writing to the specific office department head involved. The request should identify the particular record desired with enough specificity so it can be located. Individual county departments may have specific public record request forms available. Copies of the records shall be made at the costs indicated in KCC 1.36.40.
