A series of unfortante events led to the death of 30-year-old Benjamin brave on Wednesday. Brave was driving his car on I-70 when it for some reason lost power, so he pulled over to the right shoulder and exited his vehicle, which was still partially in the right lane. Unfortunately, he could not activate his hazard lights due to his car's lack of power, and at that time a semi-truck driven by a 62-year-old man swerved to the right because of a deer in the roadway and side-swiped his vehicle.

A semi-truck traveling on Interstate 70 near Deer Trail at about 5 a.m. drifted off the side of the highway, causing the truck to rollover. The driver of the truck sustained fatal injuries. The truck damaged a bridge in the crash, spilled fuel, and spilled the mail it was hauling. Crews worked throughout the day to repair the bridge and clean up the mess.
