Michelle Heath was driving a 2010 Chevrolet Equinox on Interstate 88 eastbound around 11:25 a.m. when she lost control of the vehicle on the slippery, icy road. Her car entered a barrel roll and crashed, trapping her inside until firefighters arrived to extricate her. She was taken to Wilson Hospital for a medical evaluation. This accident is still under investigation.

A Simmons College professor died in a car crash with a commercial truck in New York. Professor Tatyana Buynitsky, a member of the Behavior Analysis program, was traveling with her husband on Friday when the driver lost control and crashed with a tractor-trailer. The 28-year-old professor was rushed to the hospital but later died. Her husband, 32-year-old Rory Wingham, was pronounced dead shortly after the collision.  Buynitsky graduated from Boston University and then studied at Simmons for her master's and doctoral degrees. At the time of her death, she was teaching at the college.
