Spokane County Prosecuting Attorney
The Office of the Spokane County Prosecuting Attorney consists of 65 attorneys, 60 support staff and 6 victim-witness staff members. The prosecuting attorney office is divided into units including Administration, Major Crimes, Special Assault, Domestic Violence, Gang, and Drug/Traffic/Probation.
Spokane County Victim/Witness Unit
The Victim/Witness Unit was established by the Spokane County Prosecuting Attorney's Office to assist victims and witnesses through the criminal justice process. The Spokane County Prosecuting Attorney recognizes that recovering from crime takes time and that victims and witnesses deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. Many victims and witnesses have never been involved in the criminal justice process and do not know what to expect.
Spokane County Public Defender
The Spokane County Public Defender is established to implement the Constitutional and legislatively mandated obligation to provide effective representation to individuals entitled to but unable to afford legal counsel. The office's mission is to responsibly use community resources to provide quality, professional independent and effective representation to all clients appointed to the office.

Spokane County District Court
The mission of Spokane County District Court is to serve our citizens through the prompt, courteous, and fair dispensation of justice by adjudicating cases in a timely manner using effective and efficient case management techniques, adhering to the highest standards, monitoring enforcement of judgments, and being responsible stewards of public funds.
Spokane County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Program
It is the mission of the Spokane County Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program (VLP) to provide select legal services to low-income residents of Spokane County who may otherwise be denied adequate representation or access to the civil justice system, and to encourage local attorneys to fulfill their duty to provide pro bono services.
Spokane County Division of Engineering and Roads
The Division of Engineering and Roads' mission is to provide and maintain the best possible county road system today and in the future, provide cost effective equipment and vehicle purchase, rental, leasing and maintenance services for county departments, provide general information regarding public and private roads, development standards, drainage and floodplain guidelines, permits for approaches and street obstruction. We also provide design, construction, traffic, traffic safety and transportation demand management programs county wide.
