Granados was first driving east on I-182 when she was attempting to change onto southbound SR 395 but failed to negotiate the curve properly and went through the median onto the northbound lanes of SR 395 before striking on oncoming car driven by Ruiz-Alarcon. At about 10:30pm, Barker was driving the wrong way in the westbound lane of I-182 when he struck two other oncoming cars, one of which contained Miriam Garcia, 30, and the other which contained Sanchez, Martha Zambrano, 49, an 11-year-old and a 12-year-old.
