Two Lewiston residents died in a car crash Saturday afternoon just after 1 p.m. on US 12 near Pomeroy, Washington. Martin D. Heieren, who was a Lewiston firefighter, was driving westbound in a pickup truck when he drifted over the center line and collided with another vehicle.  Heieren died on the scene. His passenger, 4-year-old Nevaeh Davenport, was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, where she later died. All of the parties involved in the crash were wearing seat belts.
