Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLOsbaldo Campos, 21, drove the wrong-way on Reynolds St. for almost a mile before he collided head-on with motorcyclist Claudia Alderman. An officer saw Campos driving the wrong-way and tried twice to get Campos to pull over, but he refused. Alderman died in the crash. Campos has been charged with disobeying an officer, though more charges will likely be filed in the next few days.

Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLLinda Yancey has died after her car struck a mailbox, crossed into the path of a truck driven by Donald Gaswint and collided head-on with a Volkswagen driven by Charla Pfeffinger. Pfeffinger and her passenger Lyle Pfeffinger were taken to Tampa General hospital to be treated for serious injuries. Gaswint sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLTwo women and one man were killed early Sunday when their vehicle collided head-on with a semi tractor-trailer in the northbound lanes of Interstate 275 just south of Bearss Ave. in Tampa. Michael F. Kellogg of Lakeland was driving the truck and was not injured. It is not yet known where the wrong-way vehicle originated as the investigation continues.

Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLA multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 275 in Hillsborough County claimed five lives early Sunday morning.
The incident occurred just after 2 a.m. and closed the northbound lanes of the roadway for over five hours.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report a 2001 Ford Expedition triggered the tragedy by driving south in the northbound lanes. The Expedition struck a 2010 Hyundai head-on just north of the Busch Blvd. exit in the center travel lane.
The SUV caught fire and was quickly engulfed in flames. The driver, later identified as Daniel Lee Morris 28, was pronounced dead at the scene.
