A Vancouver woman remained in critical condition Tuesday at a Bend, Ore., hospital after the car she was driving Sunday collided head-on with a pickup on Highway 26. According to the Oregon State Police, Alexis Bennett, 27, was driving her 2011 Chevrolet Aveo west on the highway near Madras, Ore., when an eastbound 2000 Ford pickup crossed the center line and struck her car. Police said they are investigating the possibility that a tire blowout on the pickup played a role in the collision.
