Louisville, KYKeccia Jansen, 48, had been drinking at a local bar when she decided to drive home on Highway 42. While trying to turn her car around, the vehicle became stuck and Connie Hughes parked her car at the top of a hill to prevent people from hitting Jansen. Meanwhile, Jansen's son, Nicholas Mendenhall, had also been drinking and stole a car, which he attempted to drive home taking the same route. He crashed into Hughes' vehicle, fatally injuring her. Mendenhall has been charged with murder, DUI, and five counts of wanton endangerment. Janson was also charged with DUI.

Louisville, KYTatianna Brown, 43, was arrested Thursday morning in Louisville, Kentucky after driving her car into the side of a stopped train, causing three cars to derail. The incident occured just before 1:00 a.m. Thursday morning, October 16, at the intersection of Collins and Chamberlain lanes. Police who were already nearby extracted Brown from her vehicle before it dragged 200 yards into the rail yard. Brown was uninjured. She was arrested at the scene because she smelled of alcohol and her speech was slurred. Brown said she had drank, but could not remember how much.

Louisville, KYSara Neathamer is in stable condition after being struck by alleged drunk driver Russell Mullins, 64, while leaving Disney on Ice with her children on Wednesday. She was six months pregnant at the time of the accident, and she delivered a baby boy and named him Nathan. Nathan is currently on a respirator but is in stable condition. Neathamer's daughter Shyanne, 6, has a skull fracture, broken hand, and broken leg. Jayden, 3, has cuts and scrapes.
