Huntsville-Decatur, ALOn U.S. 72 four miles west of Athens in Limestone County Wedesday night, Tammy Berzett Barnes of Athens was killed when the 2002 Chevrolet she was driving left the roadway and overturned after being struck by a 2005 Ford driven by an Elkmont teen. Barnes was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from her vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene; the teen was not injured.
