Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLAn 18-year-old Bradenton man died Saturday afternoon from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash on Cortez Rd.
The incident occurred at 4:20 p.m. at the intersection of 106th St. Hugo Arellano was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report Arellano was traveling east on his 2004 Suzuki motorcycle when he was hit by a 2012 Buick LaCrosse driven by 90-year-old William Mitchell of Bradenton. Investigators say Mitchell was traveling west on Cortez and was attempting to turn left onto 106th St. when he violated Arellano’s right of way.
