South Bend-Elkhart, INJohn Young Middle School student Zachary Bielinski, 15, was struck and killed by a train around 5:00 p.m. Thursday in Mishawaka at a railroad crossing near main street. The boy was struck while standing on the north track watching an eastbound train pass. Witnesses say the train sounded its horn for what seemed like 30 seconds. The death has been ruled an accident.

Detroit, MIA 73-year-old woman of Allen Park sustained a major head injury when she was crossing Main Street at Fourth in downtown Royal Oak and was struck by a pickup truck. On Saturday a Southfield woman, 35, in a pickup truck turned left from eastbound Fourth Street and hit the older woman about 11:30 a.m. Neither alcohol nor the weather were not involved in the accident.

Sunday, October 26, 2014Jeffrey Alan Stiles, 45, of Muskegon, injured in pedestrian hit and run accident on Main Street near Cass Street in Nunica, MI after being hit while walking in the traffic lane of Main Street. The driver left the scene in an unknown vehicle, traveling north. Stiles was taken to Hackley Hospital.
