The crash occurred when Spencer Altschuler, 19, was traveling west on State Road 60 when he entered into the eastbound lane to pass other traffic. Altschuler failed to return to his westbound lane before crashing into an eastbound vehicle driven by Ivery Walker, 56, of Miami. Walker's vehicle then crashed into a guardrail and caught fire. Walker was pronounced deceased at the crash site. Walker was the aunt of two children in the car; Armanie Pitts, 4, and Roderick Burke, 6, both of whom sustained critical injuries Altschuler suffered minor injuries.

A 74-year-old wrong way-driver died in a head-on crash that injured three other people early Wednesday on U.S. Highway 192 in Osceola County. Bruce Baxter was driving a Buick and was heading eastbound on the westbound lane of U.S. 192 in St. Cloud at 1:05 a.m.  The Buick hit a 2002 Ford SUV in a head-on collision, and the driver of the Buick was killed. The collision caused the SUV to roll over and hit a 2011 Jeep SUV. The driver of the Ford SUV, identified as George Perez, 24, of Lakeland, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne.

A 69-year-old Kissimmee man died after being struck by an SUV while attempting to cross U.S. 192 in a wheelchair. The fatal crash happened around 8:20 p.m. Saturday at U.S. 192 and Oren Brown Road in Osceola County. Troopers said 73-year-old Ralph Ratledge, of Maryville, Tennessee, was traveling eastbound on U.S. 192 in his 2007 Lincoln SUV in the center-through lane. The 69-year-old man, who was not identified by FHP, was trying to cross U.S. 192 in a wheelchair. Troopers said he was not at an intersection or in a crosswalk.

A 17-year-old St. Cloud High School student was injured after being hit by a car on his bicycle in St. Cloud, Florida. The incident occured around 7:00 a.m. Wednesday morning while crossing 13th Street. The student was conscious after the accident, but suffered from lacerations. He was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center as a precaution. Police say he crossed the intersection without the help of a school crossing guard and was not wearing a helmet. The condition of the student is unknown at this time.

Two unidentified male passengers who were injured in a fatal Holopaw truck crash Friday night were taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center in serious condition. The driver, 52-year-old St. Cloud resident Leopoldo Blancas, was killed when his Ford pickup veered off of Holopaw Road, struck a concrete gutter and overturned about 8:45 p.m. The truck's undercarriage hit a tree. Blancas died on scene.

A man retrieving a dropped key was struck by a vehicle and killed early Thursday in a hit-and-run crash in Osceola County. The pickup kept driving, leaving the man dead on Vineland Road. The victim's friends said the pickup truck did not have its lights on.

Two men who may have been suspects in a shooting at Ross Dress For Less at 3819 West Vine Street died Tuesday in a car crash. As officers were responding to a call of shots fired at a retail store, they saw a vehicle matching the description of the suspect vehicle driving toward them. When they turned around near the Publix on Dyer Boulevard, they saw the car had crashed and the two men inside the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.

A semi-truck driver was killed in a freak accident as he tried to stop for a fire truck. The 32-year-old semi driver slammed on the brakes so hard that beams on the trailer came crashing through the cab crushing him to death. Witnesses wonder if an emergency signal wasn't activated before the fire truck headed out for the emergency call.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers today made an arrest in a fatal hit and run crash that occurred Sunday morning along Orange Blossom Trail in Kissimmee.

Giselle Marie Saez Castellano, 27, 1902 Lighthouse Way, No. 104, Kissimmee, has been charged with felony leaving the scene of a crash involving death and was taken to Osceola County Jail, FHP spokesperson Sgt. Kim Montes said.

A male pedestrian was hit by a train Wednesday afternoon in Kissimmee, according to police.

Kissimmee police and fire crews responded to the crash at 3 p.m.that occurred near Smith and Vine streets.

Police said the male pedestrian, who is in his late teens to early 20s, was wearing headphones at the time of the crash.

The victim was airlifted to a local hospital, police said. It's not clear what the pedestrian's condition is.
