A 61-year-old city man died in a car crash on Tuesday evening at Bloomfield Avenue and Market Street, authorities said.

Richard Wozny was driving a 2008 Kia car when he sideswiped a 2013 Toyota Corolla stopped at a red light on Market Street at 6:11 p.m. Tuesday, Clifton Police Detective Lt. Michael Sweeney said. Wozny continued eastbound on Market Street into the intersection, struck a NJ Transit bus and then crashed into a utility pole.

DeShawn Moore, 33, Eric Lewis, 27, killed, Nicole Reed, 21, Keyshema Francis, critically in injured, both transported to hospital, after their crashed into a utility pole near the intersection of Haledon Avenue and North First Street in Paterson.

Two people were injured and two others killed in a car wreck early Saturday morning in New Jersey.

Just after 2 a.m. in Paterson, a car carrying four people crashed into a utility pole after the driver lost control.

The Hyundai sedan was traveling south at Haledon Ave and North First Street at the time. It is unclear what led to the wreck, but speed and the weather are possible factors.

The violent impact of the collision nearly split the car in two as it crashed into the utility pole. It took 90 minutes to extricate the driver.
