Tampa-St. Petersburg, FLA 76-year-old Venice woman died Saturday afternoon from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash on Tamiami Trail in Nokomis.
Joy L. Van Brunt was airlifted to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton where she later died. The incident occurred at approximately 12:40 p.m.
According to a Florida Highway Patrol report Ralph S. Van Brunt was traveling south approaching the Roberts Rd. intersection in his 2007 Toyota when he attempted to make a left-hand turn into the Spanish Lakes subdivision.
