Birmingham, ALLaura Pool Horton was driving on Alabama 25 at about 11:50 a.m. when she lost control of her vehicle and it left the roadway, striking a tree. Horton was killed. A passenger in the car, 21-year-old Jason Stagner, was injured and taken to UAB Hospitalfor treatment. The crash is still under investigation.

Birmingham, AL32-year-old Jonathan Green of Tuscumbia and 29-year-old Tiffany Mitchell of Gulf Shores were killed Monday morning when the truck they were riding in veered from the road and hit a utility pole about a mile south of Columbiana, Alabama.
