According to the MSP, at around 8:54 a.m. in Stearns County a Chrysler 300M came off of I-94 westbound and turned left into the eastbound lane of Highway 23.

Authorities on Friday released the identity of the person who was fatally struck by a train in St. Cloud a day earlier. Carol J. Oltz, 52, of St. Cloud, died Thursday morning after the 100-car freight train hit her on the east side of the city, police said. The incident brought a halt to the eastbound BNSF train, which was hauling crude oil, blocking motor vehicle traffic on St. Germain Street and on 7th Street SE. for a few hours in the morning. An Amtrak Empire Builder train also had to sit tight for about 1 hour and 40 minutes while investigators collected evidence at the scene.

A 7-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was hit by a car in Central Minnesota on Monday morning. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 21900 block of County Road 7 in St. Augusta around 7:26 a.m. Monday on a report of a crash. According to the sheriff, the boy was crossing the street to get onto a school bus when he was hit by a 2004 Pontiac Bonneville driven by 60-year-old Margaret Hartnick of St. Augusta. The school bus was southbound on County Road 7 and was picking up three kids at that address, and the Pontiac was heading northbound.

A rollover crash in Stearns County ejected three people from the vehicle - sending two of them to the hospital - early Sunday morning, according to the Stearns County Sheriff's Office. Authorities say around 3:51 a.m., the sheriff's office was dispatched to County Road 43 at 185th Street in Eden Lake Township for a reported one-vehicle rollover. A preliminary investigation shows a 2013 Kia Optima, owned by Kimberly Patience Donnay, was traveling northbound on CR 43 when the driver lost control, entered the west ditch and rolled several times.
