Car Hits 7-Year-Old Getting on School Bus in Stearns Co.

A 7-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was hit by a car in Central Minnesota on Monday morning.
A 7-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was hit by a car in Central Minnesota on Monday morning. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 21900 block of County Road 7 in St. Augusta around 7:26 a.m. Monday on a report of a crash. According to the sheriff, the boy was crossing the street to get onto a school bus when he was hit by a 2004 Pontiac Bonneville driven by 60-year-old Margaret Hartnick of St. Augusta. The school bus was southbound on County Road 7 and was picking up three kids at that address, and the Pontiac was heading northbound. The boy was taken by ambulance to St. Cloud Hospital. His condition is unknown. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
