Sunday, February 23, 2014Crashes caused by freezing rain and icy road conditions closed lanes on Interstate 84 west of Pendleton on Monday morning.
One of the crashes involved a FedEx trailer that split open at 6 a.m., spilling freight and blocking eastbound traffic, according to Oregon State Police. A commercial truck traveling behind the FedEx trailer also crashed. Neither driver was injured.
The left eastbound lane is now open for traffic while workers continue to pick up debris and clear the scene.
