Benton County Jail
The Benton County Jail is located at 7122 W. Okanogan Place (Building B) in Kennewick, Washington. The jail services all law enforcement agencies in Benton County as well as outside agencies on a contractual basis. It houses an average daily population of 600 inmates with capacity for over 800 inmates.
Benton County Prosecuting Attorney
The main responsibility of the prosecutor is to enforce criminal laws and work for the victims of crime. This includes ordering restitution for the victim, informing the victim of court dates, and acting as an advocate for the victim at trial and sentencing. The prosecuting attorney also acts as legal counsel to the other county departments, operates a risk management program for Benton County, assists in certain child support cases, and performs a number of other duties.

Benton County Superior Court
Benton County Superior Court is a general jurisdiction trial court with responsibility for civil matters involving more than $300, unlawful detainers, and injunctions; felony criminal cases; misdemeanor criminal cases not otherwise provided for by law; family law, including dissolutions, child support, adoptions, parentage, and domestic-violence protection matters; probate and guardianship matters; juvenile offender matters; juvenile dependencies, including abused and neglected children, children in need of services, at-risk youth, and truancies; mental illness and involuntary commitment matters.
Benton County District Court
As a court of limited jurisdiction, the District Court is responsible for the following types of matters: Civil litigation matters up to $75,000; Small claims matters up to $5,000; Nuisance violations; False alarm hearings; Vehicle tow and impound hearings; Anti-harassment orders; Domestic violence protection orders; Infractions (traffic, non-traffic and parking); Misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor criminal cases; Felony expedited cases; Felony preliminary hearings; Search warrants; Death inquests.
