Troopers arrived on scene and discovered that the driver of a 1996 Honda, Alvin T. Banks, age 52, of Cortlandt, New York, had backed into a 2006 Honda CRV and attempted to flee the scene at about 8:30 p.m. Following a detailed investigation, it was discovered that Banks was intoxicated at the time of the crash.  He was subsequently charged with Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor, and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Auto Accident. Further investigation revealed that Banks was assaulted by Glenn Gennodie, age 45, of Brewster, New York, following the accident.
