A man was killed Sunday evening after a hit-and-run accident in Woodbridge, Prince William County police said. Police say that about 7 p.m., Pastoo Pereire of Woodbridge was crossing Occoquan Road near the intersection of Vineyard Way when he was struck by a vehicle headed north on Occoquan Road. The vehicle left the scene before police arrived, according to police. Pereire died at the scene as a “result of injuries sustained during the collision,” police said. Police said they did not know Pereire’s age and they did not have a description of the vehicle involved.

Police are searching for the driver of a pickup who slammed into a utility pole late Sunday night, killing one of his passengers and injuring another as he sped away from an apparent hit-and-run wreck moments earlier in southwest Houston. The fatal wreck occurred about 11:15 p.m. in the 9400 block of the outbound Southwest Freeway frontage road near Bissonnet, according to the Houston Police Department.

A Berlin woman charged with drunk driving faces more charges after the death of a pedestrian she allegedly hit with her car Saturday night. 60-year-old Debra Bailey stopped at the scene on High Road in Berlin but police say she left after firefighters arrived to tend to 36-year-old Eber Perez. Police found Bailey at her home. Without a blood alcohol test police can still charge someone with drunk driving based on the answers to certain questions.

Police are searching for the driver a black four-door sedan who struck and killed a 51-year-old man in Brooklyn Saturday night and fled the scene. According to authorities the man was crossing Eastern Parkway in Brownsville at around 9:30 p.m. when the sedan, which was heading west, crashed into him. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the driver fled before authorities arrived. Police are attempting to notify family before releasing the identity of the the man who was killed.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police are looking for a vehicle they say struck a woman on the Far Southside and then took off, leaving her in critical condition. Police say the incident happened at about 6:45 p.m. Saturday, when Cindy Urich was struck by an SUV in the 5700 block of South Franklin Road. Urich was taken to an area hospital where she remains in critical condition. Police are looking for a black 4-door Toyota Corolla, model 2009 or newer, with Indiana license plate FW2353.

A man crossing the road in northwest victim becomes the victim of a hit and run driver early Saturday morning. Houston police arrived on the scene at Airline and East Whitney just after 12:30 a.m. They said the victim was hit by a dark colored vehicle headed southbound on airline. Instead of stopping to help, the driver took off. The victim was rushed to Ben Taub hospital in serious but stable condition. Detectives said they are looking for a car with damaged to the driver's side hood area.

A cyclist was killed Friday in a hit and run crash in east Houston, and police are looking for the driver of the white vehicle responsible. Houston police said the man was crossing the 1000 block of Normandy on a bicycle around 7 p.m. when he was struck. He was taken to Ben Taub Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released. The driver who struck the man did not stop, police said, and could face a felony charge of failing to render aid.

The Las Vegas woman killed in a hit-and-run crash Thursday night has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office. According to Las Vegas police, 49-year-old Luv Maria Favela-Martinez was crossing Nellis Boulevard near Cedar Avenue at approximately 8:45 p.m. and was hit by a white four-door car that did not stop. Favela-Martinez died on the scene from blunt force trauma to the head.

A Forest Grove teen pleaded guilty Thursday in connection with the crash that killed two young stepsisters playing in a pile of leaves in October. Mario Echeverria, 18, was sentenced to 13 months in prison for hindering prosecution after the crash, according to the Washington County District Attorney's office. Police said he and 18-year-old Cinthya Garcia Cisneros were driving home Oct. 20 when they hit and killed 11-year-old Abigail Robinson and 6-year-old Anna Dieter-Eckert, who were playing in the leaves near their home.

A 65-year-old woman was clinging to live after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Brooklyn Thursday. The victim, whose name was not immediately released, was crossing Eastern Parkway midblock near Utica Ave. in Crown Heights when she was hit by a westbound Nissan Murano with New Jersey plates about 10:50 a.m., officials said. She was rushed to Kings County Hospital with life-threatening injuries, cops said. The SUV sped away south on Schenectady Ave., police said.
