Oklahoma City police said a crash that killed a father of four young children was caused by a man who was high on drugs. Oklahoma City police said Dustin Hall, 31, caused a crash Monday night near NE 10th and N. Standish. According to officers, Hall was high on drugs and admitted to looking down at his phone. Ronald Banton, 27, was killed in the crash. His 5-year-old son JaeRon was in the car with him but was not hurt. Hall was arrested and police said he could be charged with second-degree murder.

A 1-year-old Tahlequah girl died in an accident with a pickup on Thanksgiving, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. October French was taken to a hospital, where she died of head injuries, according to a patrol report. How the girl died is still under investigation, but the patrol said the girl was not in a vehicle when she was struck about 6 p.m. in a private driveway just west of the Tahlequah city limits in Cherokee County. Adrian Sanders, 18, of Tahlequah, was driving the pickup. No one else was hurt.
