Raymond Meeks, 53, killed, after a head-on collision on eastbound I-44, with a car driven by Issa Gakwandi, 52, who was not injured.

An Oklahoma man died Monday after a head-on collision on Interstate 44, Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Raymond Meeks, 53, was driving west in the eastbound lane of the interstate and hit a vehicle traveling east head-on. Meeks was taken to OU Medical Center where he later died.

The driver of the other car, Issa Gakwandi, 52, was not injured.

Meeks was apparently intoxicated, Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
