A speeding motorist fatally struck a woman before crashing into at least six vehicles in Buena Park Sunday.

Police initially received reports of a speeding driver, traveling 100 mph, heading eastbound in the westbound lanes of La Palma Avenue around 7 p.m.

The driver later ran a red light and a hit a woman who was walking in the area. The car then crossed into the opposite lanes and hit at least six vehicles.

The female victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

A California Highway Patrol cruiser and a car collided Sunday night on Highway 99 in Butte County, sending three people to the hospital with minor to moderate injury.

The crash occurred at about 8:45 p.m. Sunday near Biggs on Highway 99 at B Street when a Ford Crown Victoria patrol vehicle and a Ford Fusion collided. Both vehicles were traveling northbound on Highway 99.

All people involved were wearing seatbelts. Airbags deployed at the time of the collision.

Two people were injured when a car slammed into a building in the Park La Brea area Sunday morning.

The crash occurred in the 300 block of North La Brea Avenue around 7:20 a.m.

Investigators say the car was trying to pass another vehicle when it lost control.

Two people were transported to a local hospital. A Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman said an adult male was listed in grave condition, and an adult female was listed in fair condition.

The extent of the damage to the building remains unknown.

A 25-year-old Sacramento man died in a motorcycle crash on Sunday in Antelope. Mohammed Khan was driving northbound on Walerga Road just south of Shandwick Drive about 11:50 a.m. Sunday when his motorcycle crashed into a utility pole, according to authorities. Khan was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:02 p.m. No further information was available.   Local law firm has represented over 1000 motorcyclists in serious accident cases

One person was killed when a Ford GT driven by the brother of actress Salma Hayek Monday morning was involved in a crash with a pickup Sunday evening on Sunset Boulevard. The crash occurred in the Beverly Crest area on Los Angeles' Westside at about 5 p.m. The driver of the 2006 Ford GT was identified as 40-year-old Sami Hayek, according to police.

A person was killed in a crash by a speeding car involved in a street race in Fairfield on Sunday evening, a police sergeant said. Officers responded to reports of a collision at Lopes Road and Canyon Hills Drive around 5:15 p.m., a police Sgt. said. Arriving officers found a blue Infinti coupe and black Mazda sedan at the scene, he said. An investigation showed that the Infinti was driving south on Lopes Road where it was involved in an incident with a black, late model Toyota Tundra pickup truck also traveling in the same direction, police said.

Authorities are searching for a hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a man on a bicycle in downtown Los Angeles Sunday. The incident occurred on Alameda Street near the westbound 10 Freeway off-ramp around 2 a.m. CHP responded to a pedestrian down call and found a body in the No. 2 lane of the off-ramp with no vehicle in sight. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as a man in his early 30's. No description of the fleeing vehicle was released. The fatal crash closed Alameda Avenue and the off-ramp for a few hours, but both have since reopened.

A person was killed early Sunday during a wrong-way crash involving two vehicles on state Route 94 in central San Diego. The crash occurred at about 2:16 a.m. on eastbound SR-94 east of Federal Boulevard. According to the California Highway Patrol, a suspected drunken driver was behind the wheel of a black BMW that entered the wrong side of the freeway and slammed into a black Nissan Sentra, killing the other driver instantly. The BMW's driver and passenger were both transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital. The extent of their injuries and their conditions were unknown.
