Philadelphia, PAPhiladelphia Police are investigating a hit and run accident that left a pedestrian seriously injured in North Philadelphia Tuesday.
It happened at 21st Street and Susquehanna Avenue around 3:30 p.m.
Police say a woman, believed to be in her late 40's, had just exited a SEPTA bus when she was struck by a white Chevy Impala at a high rate of speed.
The impact sent the victim flying nearly 30 feet before she landed in the street.
She was taken to Temple University Hospital with serious head injuries.
