A 71-year-old woman was in serious condition Friday after she was struck by a pickup truck on a Riverton sidewalk. A Unified Police Lt. said the woman sustained head injuries when a 33-year-old man driving a Chevrolet pickup hit her about 7 a.m. Friday at 13279 S. 2700 West. Hoyal said the driver was just pulling out of a daycare center, where he had dropped off his child, and did not see the woman walking near the entrance in time to avoid hitting her.
