Salt Lake City, UTA motorcyclist was critically injured in a Friday collision in West Valley City.
The man, 60, was driving east on 3300 South about 12:25 p.m. when he collided with a westbound SUV that was turning south. The motorcyclist was flung 20 to 30 feet, at which point his body struck a stopped car and slid underneath it, said West Valley City police Lt. Dalan Taylor.

Salt Lake City, UTA 71-year-old woman was in serious condition Friday after she was struck by a pickup truck on a Riverton sidewalk.
A Unified Police Lt. said the woman sustained head injuries when a 33-year-old man driving a Chevrolet pickup hit her about 7 a.m. Friday at 13279 S. 2700 West.
Hoyal said the driver was just pulling out of a daycare center, where he had dropped off his child, and did not see the woman walking near the entrance in time to avoid hitting her.
The woman was taken to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray by Unified Fire Authority paramedics.
