State police say a tractor-trailer struck and killed a Florida man who was standing on the New Jersey Turnpike. The accident occurred around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday in the northbound express lanes in Englewood. Authorities say 60-year-old Izhak Shvarz, of Lake Mary, Fla., was standing next to his vehicle and was partially in the right lane when he was hit by the truck. No tickets have been issued and the accident remains under investigation.

Heidi Bennett, 50, killed, after her car is rear-ended by a tractor-trailer, at an intersection on Route 9 in Old Bridge.

A 50-year-old Freehold woman was identified as the victim in Monday’s fiery crash on Route 9, Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor and the Old Bridge Police Chief said Tuesday.

Heidi Bennett was killed when her car was struck at about 12:33 p.m. by a tractor-trailer on Route 9 South at the Old Mill Road intersection.

An investigation the Old Bridge Police Department and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office determined that a 2002 Hyundai Accent, driven by Bennett, was struck in the rear by the tractor-trailer.

Marisela Atenco-Balbuena, 23, killed, Jose E. Gonzalez, 27, seriously injured, transported to hospital, after they are struck by a car, driven by Harpreet Locham, 18, while they were crossing South Main Street in Manville.

Two people are hospitalized after a car crashed into a farmers market in Burlington County. The accident happened shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday at the Columbus Farmers Market on Route 206 in Springfield Township. Two people in the car were taken to the hospital, but their injuries do not appear to be serious. No other injuries were reported. The accident is under investigation.

A woman and two children were hospitalized after being struck by an alleged hit-and-run driver in South Jersey this morning. After striking the trio at Line Street and S 5th Street in Camden, the driver of the other car fled, according to Camden County Police. The unidentified woman and the children were taken to Cooper University Hospital to be check out after they complained of pain, according to authorities. Police didn't reveal the extent of the victims' injuries. The victims were put in an ambulance and as police investigated a flipped over vehicle.

Authorities have released the name of the man who was struck and killed while leaning over a train platform at a New Jersey station, splattering four others with parts of his body. NJ Transit spokesman John Durso Jr. says witnesses reported 50-year-old Frank Farriella of Middlesex was leaning in the path of the oncoming train at the New Brunswick station platform when he was struck Tuesday. About 300 people were aboard the New York-bound Northeast Corridor train.

Elizabeth Torpey, 67, killed, Anna Jordan, 73, injured, transported to hospital, after they are struck by a car, driven by Sharon Musher, 41, while walking on the sidewalk of Leipzig Avenue in Galloway Township.

Police in Galloway Township are investigating an accident that killed one pedestrian and injured another. On Wednesday, March 19th around 9:38 a.m., the driver of a 2007 Honda Civic, 41-year-old Sharon Musher, was reportedly traveling north on Leipzig Avenue when she lost control of her vehicle, struck two pedestrians walking southbound on the sidewalk, and then struck a tree.

A New Jersey State Police trooper was one of three people injured in a crash on Sunday morning along the Garden State Parkway. The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. near mile marker 65.1 in Stafford. Investigators say the trooper had stopped a vehicle. That's when another car hit the trooper's vehicle, causing it to hit the car he stopped. One of the cars caught fire, police say. Two civilians involved in the crash were flown to Atlantic City Trauma Center. The trooper was also taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Police in Camden County are investigating a series of crashes that left one man dead and police searching for a hit-and-run driver. It all began shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday on the Admiral Wilson Boulevard near Lee Avenue in Pennsauken. According to investigators, Victor Gutierrez, 31, was struck and killed by a white van. The driver of that van, Ronale Thomas of Brockton Massachusetts, got out of the vehicle to check on Gutierrez, police say, but was hit by another car. The driver of that car fled the scene.

No serious injuries reported, after a tractor-trailer left the I-295 roadway near Westville, and crashed into an embankment.

A tractor-trailer crash snarled traffic along a heavily-traveled road in South Jersey Friday morning.

The crash happened shortly after 6 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-295 at the Creek Road underpass approaching Route 42.

A tractor-trailer lost control and slammed into an embankment. The driver was not seriously injured.

There were no other vehicles involved in the crash.

As a result of the crash, only the two lefts lanes were able to squeeze by. Officials said the tractor was going to stay where it was until the morning rush hour was over.
