Jay Weyiouanna, 20, killed, after his snowmobile crashes into a ditch in the village of Shishmaref, 126 miles north of Nome, Alaska

A 20-year-old northwest Alaska village resident has died in a snowmobile crash. Alaska State Troopers say Jay Weyiouanna (wee-oh-WAN'-ah) of Shishmaref (SHISH'-mar-ef) died Sunday. Witnesses tell troopers they saw Weyiouanna drive into a ditch and crash in the village 126 miles north of Nome. He was alone on the machine. The state medical examiner has scheduled an autopsy in Anchorage.
