Late Sunday evening Alaska State Troopers started fielding 911 calls about a motorcyclist driving recklessly along the Palmer-Wasilla Highway near Trunk Road.
About five minutes after the calls started, there was a head-on collision at 10:25 p.m. between a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle driven by Nicholas Bishop, 24 of Anchorage, and a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Alex Phelan, 24 of Wasilla.
Anchorage Police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding a woman accused of a Tuesday evening hit-and-run crime involving a female victim.
Police say the crime occurred around 10:08 p.m. when a vehicle driven by Haily Ibarra, 20, collided with a pedestrian outside of a residence near the 5900 block of Mego Street.
Alaska State Troopers are investigating the crash of a Hageland Aviation small plane near Bethel Tuesday night, according to company officials.
The situation remains uncertain as of 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, with a AST spokesperson saying both troopers and officials with the Ravn Air Group, which Hageland is a part of, are trying to learn more.
“We have not confirmed any fatalities, but we have not found any survivors,” the spokesperson said. “They’re still trying to notify their people, and we’re still trying to notify next of kin.”
Alaska State Troopers say a 29-year-old Wasilla man was killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a Jeep Wrangler.
The accident was reported about 10 p.m. on Saturday. Troopers say in a statement that Cameron MacDonald of Wasilla was riding a 1980 Yamaha motorcycle when it collided head-on with a 2012 Wrangler driven by a 20-year-old Wasilla man.
A spokeswoman stated that troopers were still investigating Sunday afternoon and hadn't determined what caused the crash.
