A 44-year-old Platteville woman and two children who were with her were hospitalized after a four-vehicle crash in eastern Iowa that killed two.
The Linn County Sheriff's Office identified those killed in the crash near Mount Vernon as 33-year-old David Hultquist and his passenger, 23-year-old Skyler Darrow, both of Martelle.
An eastern Iowa woman wasn’t wearing her seat belt when she rolled her vehicle into a ditch and later died, according to authorities. They say Sandy Klein, 36, of Springbrook, was driving eastbound on 150th Street when her vehicle went off the road and rolled into the ditch. She died at a hospital.
Authorities didn’t say what they believe caused her to lose control of her vehicle.
COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) — A Council Bluffs man has died after being hit by a car while he was operating a motorcycle.
The Daily Nonpareil reports that 37-year-old Mickie Carroll died in the 6:40 a.m. Friday crash.
Investigators say Carroll was northbound on Valley View Drive when a southbound car turned in front of him.
The 66-year-old driver of the car, also of Council Bluffs, was not hurt.
An investigation into the collision continues. No charges have yet been filed.
